Can You Earn Money as a Clinical Trial Participant?
Joining a Clinical Trial
Joining a clinical trial is beneficial as a participant for many reasons. Not only are you able to gain exclusive access to the most cutting-edge treatments available, you may also be able to improve your health condition (if you suffer from one), help progress medical science, and even get paid along the way. If you want to become a clinical trial participant, you may be perfect for one of our clinical trials. Keep reading to learn more about clinical trials, how to sign up, what happens once you join a study, and what benefits participants can look forward to.
What are Clinical Trial Phases?
Clinical trials are conducted in a series of steps called “phases.” Each phase has a different purpose and helps researchers answer different questions.
- Phase I trials: Researchers test a drug or treatment in a small group of people (20–80) for the first time. The purpose is to study the drug or treatment to learn about safety and identify side effects.
- Phase II trials: The new drug or treatment is given to a larger group of people (100–300) to determine its effectiveness and to further study its safety.
- Phase III trials: The new drug or treatment is given to large groups of people (1,000–3,000) to confirm its effectiveness, monitor side effects, compare it with standard or similar treatments, and collect information that will allow the new drug or treatment to be used safely.
- Phase IV trials: After a drug is approved by the FDA and made available to the public, researchers track its safety in the general population, seeking more information about a drug or treatment’s benefits, and optimal use.
Signing Up for the Study
The first step to becoming a clinical trial participant is to fill out a very short interest form with your contact information. We will reach out to you to pre-qualify you over the phone during a screening call with a member of our clinic staff.
If you pre-qualify over the phone, we will set an appointment with you at the end of the call so that you can come in, meet our staff, and get a free medical exam to determine your eligibility for our studies. If you meet all of the guidelines, you will be asked to join. These preliminary steps are quick and easy.
Conducting the Study
Once you have officially joined the study, you will be required to return to our clinic for a series of study-related appointments, where you will be given study-related medication. You will be monitored for safety and effectiveness throughout. All of our studies are HIPAA-compliant, FDA-governed, and completely confidential. We do not require any medical insurance or proof of citizenship.
What Participants Recieve
Participants in our studies receive:
- Free medical consultations and exams
- Free study-related medication
